Xain'D Sleena is a scrolling
platform/shooter that was originally created by Technos Japan Corp back
in 1986.
A favourite of mine, and I feel a true classic.
This version is my remake of Xain, written for the Retro Remakes
contest of 2006.

You control the main character Xain, a soldier who must single-handedly
defeat the evil empire Dristarg.
Five
planets in the solar system need to be rescued, then the final showdown
on Empire's mobile fortress. |
Between
each completed stage, Xain jumps back into his space craft and the game
style changes from that of a platformer to a shmup.
Here you
must survive to the end of the stage before proceeding to the next
planet! |
